Hunting Events in Argentina

Over the years, Argentina Big Hunting has been recognized by leading international outdoor organizations as an outstanding operation for conducting special hunting events in Argentina. This recognition has allowed us to organize exclusive hunting experiences for selected guests, combining our local knowledge, professional organization and personalized service.

Our relationship with companies like Cabela's is one of the best examples of this experience. Over several years, Cabela's entrusted Argentina Big Hunting with organizing special hunting programs for its guests, including its exclusive Visa Signature Events and, later, Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's Signature Events.

These events have taken place in different regions of Argentina and have included wingshooting, big game hunting and conservation-oriented programs. Each one has been a unique opportunity to share Argentina's hunting traditions, landscapes and wildlife with international hunters and outdoor enthusiasts.

2025 – Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's Signature Event: Mixed Bag Bird Hunting

Estancia Santa Adela – Entre Ríos, Argentina

In June 2025, Argentina Big Hunting hosted another Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's Signature Event at Estancia Santa Adela in Entre Ríos, offering guests the opportunity to experience one of Argentina's most traditional mixed-bag wingshooting programs.

From June 18 to 22, the program combined several classic forms of Argentine bird hunting, including duck hunting over decoys, perdiz hunting over pointing dogs and seasonal pigeon shooting. The variety of hunting styles allowed guests to experience different aspects of traditional Argentine wingshooting during the same stay.

The event was also an opportunity to showcase the advantages of Estancia Santa Adela and the Entre Ríos region, where excellent bird hunting, comfortable accommodations, professional guiding and genuine Argentine hospitality come together in one destination.

This event continued the long-standing relationship between Argentina Big Hunting and Cabela's, which began years earlier with their exclusive Visa Signature Events and continued after the company became part of Bass Pro Shops.

2024 – Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's Signature Event: Red Stag Hunting

This Signature Event was another opportunity for Argentina Big Hunting to host international guests on behalf of Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's and to share one of the country's most authentic big game hunting experiences.

2024 – Cabela's Family Foundation: Big Game Hunting & Huemul Conservation Project

March 6–15, 2024
La Mota – La Pampa & Lago Fontana – Chubut, Argentina

In March 2024, Argentina Big Hunting hosted a special program for the Cabela's Family Foundation that combined big game hunting in La Mota, La Pampa, with a unique conservation experience in Patagonia.

The hunting program at La Mota gave guests the opportunity to pursue several species of Argentine big game in the distinctive caldén forest environment of La Pampa, experiencing the region's traditional hunting style and the diversity of species available in this area.

The program continued south to Lago Fontana, in Chubut Province, where the group visited a specialized huemul breeding and conservation center. The visit provided an opportunity to learn firsthand about the efforts being made to protect and recover the huemul, one of Patagonia's most threatened native species.

Combining hunting with a firsthand look at a conservation project created a particularly meaningful experience, highlighting the importance of responsible wildlife management and the need to preserve Argentina's native wildlife for future generations.

This special program reflected the confidence that Cabela's Family Foundation placed in Argentina Big Hunting to create experiences that went beyond traditional hunting and connected guests with Argentina's wildlife, landscapes and conservation efforts.

2023 – Hunting Around the World by Aimpoint: Dove Shooting & Big Game Hunting

Santa Adela – Entre Ríos & La Mota – La Pampa, Argentina

In April 2023, Argentina Big Hunting was selected by Aimpoint to host its Hunting Around the World program in Argentina, welcoming a group of hunters for a unique opportunity to experience two of the country's most distinctive hunting traditions.

The program began at Estancia Santa Adela in Entre Ríos, where guests experienced Argentina's world-renowned high-volume wild Eared Dove shooting. The exceptional number of birds and the variety of shooting situations provided an ideal introduction to one of the country's most recognized wingshooting experiences.

The group then traveled to La Mota in La Pampa, where the program continued with a varied big game hunting experience in the caldén forests. Hunting several species in this unique environment allowed the guests to discover another side of Argentina's hunting traditions and the diversity of big game opportunities available in the country.

Throughout the program, the hunters had the opportunity to use and experience Aimpoint's products in real hunting conditions, both during wingshooting and big game hunting. The combination of demanding field situations and different hunting styles provided a valuable opportunity to experience the performance and versatility of Aimpoint's equipment firsthand.

For Argentina Big Hunting, hosting Hunting Around the World by Aimpoint was another opportunity to showcase the diversity of Argentina as a hunting destination and to share our experience and knowledge with international hunters.

2023 – Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's Signature Event: Mixed Bag Bird Hunting

In May 2023, Argentina Big Hunting hosted another Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's Signature Event at Estancia Santa Adela in Entre Ríos, focused on Argentina's traditional Mixed Bag Bird Hunting.

Following the success of previous experiences at our Entre Ríos operation, Bass Pro Shops / Cabela's chose to return to Santa Adela for another Signature Event. The decision reflected the quality and diversity of the hunting opportunities available in the region, as well as the experience and organization provided by Argentina Big Hunting.

During the May 19–25 program, guests enjoyed a combination of classic Argentine wingshooting experiences in the distinctive landscapes of Entre Ríos, with professional guiding, carefully selected hunting areas and the personalized service that has become an essential part of our operation.

This return to Santa Adela marked another chapter in the long-standing relationship between Argentina Big Hunting and Cabela's and demonstrated the confidence placed in our Entre Ríos operation to host special international hunting programs.

2020–2022 – Events Suspended

Special hunting events were temporarily suspended during this period due to the travel restrictions and logistical difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Dove Shooting

In March 2019, Argentina Big Hunting was once again selected by Cabela's to host its exclusive Visa Signature Event dedicated to high-volume wild Eared Dove shooting in Entre Ríos.

Following the success of the previous edition, Cabela's returned to Argentina Big Hunting for a second consecutive year, giving its guests the opportunity to experience one of Argentina's most renowned wingshooting traditions in a region where exceptional dove shooting can be combined with comfortable accommodations and professional service.

The event was centered around the outstanding dove hunting opportunities of Entre Ríos, with carefully selected fields located close to the lodge. The combination of high-volume shooting, efficient logistics and the personalized attention provided by the Argentina Big Hunting team created an experience that reflected the qualities that had made this destination a successful choice for Cabela's Signature Events.

The 2019 edition further strengthened the relationship between Cabela's and Argentina Big Hunting and helped establish Entre Ríos as an important destination for the company's special wingshooting programs.

2019 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Mixed Bag Bird Hunting

Estancia Santa Adela – Entre Ríos, Argentina

In July 2019, Argentina Big Hunting was selected by Cabela's to host a second Signature Event in Entre Ríos, this time showcasing the diversity of Argentina's traditional Mixed Bag Bird Hunting.

From July 23 to 27, guests stayed at Estancia Santa Adela and experienced several different forms of wingshooting during the same program, including duck hunting, wild Eared Dove shooting and perdiz hunting over pointing dogs.

The event demonstrated one of the great advantages of our Entre Ríos operation: the ability to combine different bird hunting experiences in the same region while keeping the hunting areas close to the lodge. This allowed guests to experience the variety of Argentine wingshooting without sacrificing comfort or valuable time in the field.

The success of this program reinforced the confidence Cabela's placed in Argentina Big Hunting and in the Entre Ríos destination, which would continue to host special Signature Events in the years that followed.

2019 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Red Stag Hunting

Patagonia Mountains – Alicura Lodge, Algar, Argentina

In March 2019, Argentina Big Hunting hosted another Cabela's Visa Signature Event, this time taking the program to the mountains of Patagonia for a dedicated Red Stag hunting experience.

The event took place at Alicura Lodge, operated by Algar, in a vast 60,000-acre hunting area surrounded by the spectacular landscapes of the Patagonian mountains. The combination of free-range Red Stag, challenging mountain hunting and exceptional trophy potential provided the ideal setting for this special program.

The guests experienced a very different style of Red Stag hunting from the one available in the bush of La Pampa. The open mountain terrain allowed hunters and guides to glass large areas, identify promising stags from a distance and then undertake demanding stalks through the rugged Patagonian landscape.

Hosted by Cabela's, the program combined the quality of the hunting with the comfort of the lodge, professional guiding and the personalized service provided by Argentina Big Hunting.

The 2019 event further strengthened our relationship with Cabela's and demonstrated our ability to organize special hunting programs in Argentina's two premier free-range Red Stag destinations: the forests of La Pampa and the mountains of Patagonia.

2018 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Dove Shooting

Estancia Santa Adela – Entre Ríos, Argentina

In 2018, Argentina Big Hunting was selected by Cabela's to host its Dove Shooting Visa Signature Event at Estancia Santa Adela in Entre Ríos. It was the first time this prestigious event moved away from its traditional location in Córdoba and was entrusted to our operation in Entre Ríos.

The program introduced Cabela's guests to the exceptional high-volume wild Eared Dove shooting available in the region, while offering the comfort of staying at Santa Adela and the personalized service provided by the Argentina Big Hunting team.

The combination of outstanding hunting opportunities, carefully selected fields located close to the lodge, professional organization and comfortable accommodations proved to be an excellent fit for the Signature Event format.

The success of this first edition in Entre Ríos led Cabela's to return to Santa Adela the following year for another Dove Shooting Visa Signature Event. This marked an important milestone in the development of our wingshooting operation and further strengthened the relationship between Cabela's and Argentina Big Hunting.

2017 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Red Stag Hunting

Estancia Los Cerritos – La Pampa, Argentina

In 2017, Argentina Big Hunting was once again entrusted by Cabela's with hosting its Red Stag Visa Signature Event in La Pampa, returning to Estancia Los Cerritos for another special big game hunting program.

The event took place during the peak of the Red Stag roaring season, when the caldén forests of La Pampa come alive with the sound of stags competing for their harems. Guests experienced the traditional Argentine style of free-range Red Stag hunting, combining careful stalking with the opportunity to pursue mature trophies in their natural environment.

Red Stag was the main focus of the program, while the diversity of big game available in La Pampa also allowed hunters to pursue additional species during their stay. This combination of quality Red Stag hunting and varied big game opportunities is one of the characteristics that makes La Pampa such a distinctive hunting destination.

The event also showcased the elements that have always been essential to Argentina Big Hunting's Signature Event programs: comfortable accommodations, traditional Argentine cuisine and wine, professional one-on-one guiding and personalized attention throughout the hunt.

The success of this program continued the strong relationship between Cabela's and Argentina Big Hunting and was another step in a series of Signature Events that would later expand to other Argentine hunting regions and include both big game and wingshooting experiences.

2016 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Red Stag Hunting

Alicura Lodge – Patagonia, Argentina

In 2016, Argentina Big Hunting hosted a Cabela's Visa Signature Event in the mountains of Patagonia, offering guests the opportunity to experience one of Argentina's most spectacular free-range Red Stag hunting destinations.

The event took place at Alicura Lodge, located in a vast mountain hunting area surrounded by forests, lakes, streams and the breathtaking landscapes of northern Patagonia. The combination of wild Red Stag, beautiful scenery and true fair-chase hunting provided an unforgettable experience for the guests.

Unlike the traditional Red Stag hunting found in the caldén forests of La Pampa, Patagonia offers a completely different challenge. Hunters and guides cover extensive mountain terrain, glass distant valleys and slopes, and undertake spot-and-stalk hunts in search of mature free-range stags during the roaring season.

The program allowed Cabela's guests to discover another side of Argentina's hunting traditions while enjoying the comfort of Alicura Lodge, professional one-on-one guiding and the personalized attention provided by Argentina Big Hunting.

This Signature Event demonstrated the diversity of Argentina as a Red Stag destination and further strengthened the long-standing relationship between Cabela's and Argentina Big Hunting.

2015 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Red Stag Hunting

La Colorada – La Pampa, Argentina

In 2015, Argentina Big Hunting was once again entrusted by Cabela's with hosting its exclusive Visa Signature Event, this time at La Colorada in La Pampa.

The program took place during the peak of the Red Stag roaring season, offering Cabela's guests the opportunity to experience the excitement of hunting mature stags in the distinctive caldén forests of La Pampa. The challenging terrain, intense rutting activity and the quality of the trophies made La Colorada an exceptional setting for this special program.

The event also showcased the diversity of big game hunting available in La Pampa, with guests pursuing several species during their stay. The combination of challenging hunting, quality trophies and the traditional Argentine hospitality provided by Argentina Big Hunting created an experience that went well beyond the hunt itself.

Field barbecues featuring Argentine beef and Malbec wines, relaxed evenings and the camaraderie among the guests became an important part of the experience, complementing the demanding days spent hunting in the field.

Following the success of the previous Cabela's Signature Events, the 2015 edition at La Colorada further strengthened the relationship between Cabela's and Argentina Big Hunting and continued a series of special programs that would later expand to other hunting regions of Argentina.

2014 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Big Game Hunting & Dove Shooting

Estancia El Carrizal – La Pampa, Argentina

In 2014, Argentina Big Hunting was entrusted by Cabela's with hosting another edition of its Visa Signature Event at Estancia El Carrizal in La Pampa.

For the first time, the program was extended to two consecutive weeks, welcoming two groups of seven hunters from different parts of the United States. This allowed Argentina Big Hunting to showcase the diversity of big game hunting available in La Pampa while providing each group with a complete Argentine hunting experience.

During their stay, guests pursued several species, including Red Stag, Water Buffalo and Blackbuck, experiencing the variety of big game opportunities available in the region. Hunters also had the opportunity to dedicate a day to high-volume wild Eared Dove shooting, adding one of Argentina's most renowned wingshooting experiences to their big game program.

The combination of varied big game hunting, high-volume dove shooting, professional guiding, comfortable accommodations and traditional Argentine hospitality made both editions highly successful.

The success of the 2014 Signature Event further strengthened the relationship between Cabela's and Argentina Big Hunting and led to another special program the following year at La Colorada, La Pampa.

2013 – Cabela's Visa Signature Event: Big Game Hunting & Dove Shooting

Estancia El Carrizal – La Pampa, Argentina

In 2013, Argentina Big Hunting was selected by Cabela's for the first time to host its exclusive Visa Signature Event in Argentina. The program took place at Estancia El Carrizal in La Pampa, welcoming a group of six hunters from the United States for a week of big game hunting and wingshooting.

The program showcased the remarkable diversity of big game hunting available in La Pampa. Guests pursued Red Stag, Water Buffalo and Blackbuck, while also having the opportunity to hunt additional species including Fallow Deer, Axis Deer and multi-horned Rams.

To complement the big game experience, the group also spent a day enjoying Argentina's renowned high-volume wild Eared Dove shooting. This combination allowed the guests to experience two very different sides of Argentine hunting during the same trip.

The event was successfully conducted at Estancia El Carrizal, combining varied hunting opportunities with professional guiding, comfortable accommodations and the traditional Argentine hospitality that has always been an essential part of our programs.

This first Cabela's Visa Signature Event marked the beginning of a relationship that would continue for many years, with Argentina Big Hunting subsequently entrusted with organizing numerous special Cabela's hunting programs in different regions of Argentina.
